Back in the 70s/80s, Stephen Williams and the Port Huron Museum hosted “rap and jam,” sessions, which were get togethers of the regions old-time musicians. From those gatherings a book of interviews and recollections was published. A pdf of the book is available on another post and will be linked below.
The actual record is rare but digitizations have been made. Thanks to David Langdon and Carl Johnson for the digitizing and audio cleanup. Thanks to Eliot Singer for the additional metadata on the recordings. These recordings were made on a span from 1947 to 1983.
